Lilies

We had our traditional Market and Art Exhibition Day in our school today which was well- organized and visited by many parents who were very happy and satisfied with our work. The Art Exhibition was in the renovated basement of the Yellow House this year which looks very nice now. Our exhibits were made out of recycling materials and Lilies Art Show consisted of Clay Monsters followed by their funny stories,  Rainbow Fish made out of plastic bottles and Silly Faces  with their crest hair which we planted inside the plastic cups. The Market Day consisted of second-hand clothes and toys sale followed by Fika. It was a good opportunity for parents to gather together and have a good  time with family and friends. Our Market Day and Art Exhibition were very successful and we raised a lot of money for our Summer Party!

Tulips

The kids enjoyed a lovely sunny outing to the library. They even enjoyed a nice little chill under the sun as they ate their snacks before we went into the library. Once we got to the library the kids were able to explore and each got to chose their own books that they wanted to look through. The kids all gathered around and listened as we read the books they chose. The kids were able to develop their interest in the written language and an understanding of symbols, and communicative function.

Tulips

This week the kids enjoyed an outing to the 'Pirate Park' and they had a blast! We sang songs all the way to the pirate park and even spotted a few trucks on the way. The kids were able to practice their motor skills and as well as the ability to coordinate around the park as they ran around and explored. They also gained awareness of their own body, as well as an understanding of the importance of maintaining their own health and well-being.

Tulips

Outing to the little field just next to our school with the boogie woogies! As a continuous activity every tuesday, some of the kids who are able to walk, enjoyed a short walk on a lovely sunny morning to the little field with the help from our friend 'the caterpillar'. Once the kids arrived to the field, they enjoyed playing with the football and also pushed each other around on go carts by taking turns. The kids were able to develop their motor skills, ability to co-ordinate, awareness of their own body, as well as an understanding of the importance of maintaining their own health and well-being.

Sunflowers

During Science Circle Time the Sunflowers got to experiment with oil, food coloring and vitamins.
We filled some test tubes with oil and food coloring.
Each kid then got a turn, they picked the test tube they wanted and they put a vitamin in.
We observed the reaction, how the food coloring would stay at the bottom and did not mix with the oil.Once we put the vitamins in, the food coloring started coming up to the surface, making bubbles and "exploding".

Tulips

We took the kids to the 'football field'. Our outing today focused more on how we got there rather than where we were. Some of the kids that can walk are learning to walk with the caterpillar, this is a continuous process however. Thanks to the caterpillar we could practice walking and coordinating all the way to the outing. Once we reached the football field, the kids enjoyed playing in the sand and chasing the ball all around the field. The kids during their outing were able to develop their motor skills. Ability to co-ordinate, awareness for their own body, as well as an understanding of the importance of maintaining their own health and well-being.
