Lilies

                                       “THEATRE: RABBIT AND CINAMMON”

Today was a big day for our little buds as they went for a theater. We took this opputurnity as it perfectly fits into our theme of ''Lets pretend''. It was a play on ''Rabbit and cinammon''. the play is going to be in Swedish and will be an exciting experience of our little buds. They enjoyed the walk to the Library and sat very well to watch it. It was a funny play about the Bunny and the Bun !!
Though the play was in swedish, the lilies enjoyed it and so did we !! The play was so engaging that 30 minutes just flew quickly. They used the puppets and a stage set-up for the play. The kids even enjoyed the bus ride back as they didn’t have to walk too much :))
It was a great experience for all of us !!!

We’ve been working with the following Lpfö goals:

with a mother tongue other than Swedish develop their cultural identity and the ability to communicate in both Swedish and their mother tongue.
develop their identity and feel secure in themselves,
feel a sense of participation in their own culture and develop a feeling and respect for other cultures,
develop their ability to function individually and in a group, handle conflicts and understand rights and obligations, as well as take responsibility for common rules,

Tulips

On Wednesday, we did another language activity. We showed the little Tulips pictures of different vehicles and explained about the vehicles. Then we started to explain and ask them to see if they can recognize the one/s they usually take to come to the preschool. We explained and talked about each child’s choice individually and then the Tulips made a collage with their own picture and the picture of the vehicle/s they use to come to the preschool.

Lpfö 98:

Sunflowers

Sunflowers wanted to relax after a long, stressful week and spa day seemed like a perfect option! Children had face masks, lip scrubs, feet baths, tattoos, manicure & pedicure and massages, all with calming and relaxing music in the background. Sunflowers loved it! They quickly took charge in some activities (like massages and tattoos) and served themselves. It was so much fun, for both staff and children! We are now thinking of dedicating a part of pretend room to SPA area!

Tulips

On a rainy morning, the Tulips went to the nearby football field. We enjoyed a game of "who has the ball?" We passed the ball to each other and said our names. This helped us to learn the names of the new Tulips in our group, as well as to practice our gross motor skills.

Lpfö goals: develop their curiosity and enjoyment, as well as their ability to play and learn.
Develop their motor skills. Ability to coordinate, awareness of their own body.
