Lilies

Lilies are very fond of Jolly Phonics and we have recently started blending the sounds in our names.

Lpfo:
1) develop their use of spoken language, vocabulary and concepts, as well as the ability to play with words, relate something...
2) develop their interest in the written language and an understanding of symbols, and communicative function

Tulips

On Tuesday we went on our outing to the woods. We ran in the snow, hugged trees, danced and sang songs. We saw tractors and then we went to the train station to see the train pass by. Lpfö: develop their motor skills. Ability to co-ordinate, awareness of their own body, as well as an understanding of the importance of maintaining their own health and well-being.

Lilies

Lilies had a lot of fun visiting the Djursholm's Library this morning and traveling by bus on the way. We had our snack outside and found many interesting books to take back to school.

2) develop an interest in pictures, texts and different media, as well as the ability to make use of, interpret and talk about them

Tulips

This week was Valentine´s Day. The kids made some cards, drew hearts, used glitter and glued little hearts on their pictures. Lpfö: Feel a sense of participation in their own culture and develop a feeling and respect for other cultures.

Lilies

Today the Lilies showed off their athletic skills today in our lilla vasaloppet. They can run, jump, skip , ski and do yoga is there anything they cannot do?

Tulips

On Tuesday we went to the football field to practise for Lilla Vasaloppet. There will be many different stations during the sports day so we practised all the different stations like kicking a ball, doing a yoga pose, mooing like a cow, walking backwards. It was very fun and we are ready for Lilla Vasaloppet tomorrow! Lpfö: develop their motor skills. Ability to co-ordinate, awareness of their own body, as well as an understanding of the importance of maintaing their own health and well-being.

Lilies

FIZZY OCEAN SCIENCE

Lilies had a lot of fun mixing baking soda with vinegar and food coloring and observing the magical chemical reaction revealing the ocean world!

Tulips

This week we had fun practising Jolly Phonics. We read a Jolly Phonics book and we loved practising the different sounds. We are getting better at remembering more and more sounds. Some of them are easier, others are more complicated. Our favorite part is practising the actions that help us remember the sounds.
