Lilies

The Lilies celebrated Holi Festival together with the Tulips. We prepared by explaining the meaning of this holiday (the arrival of spring, celebration of love and color), we watched a video to give an idea of what we were going to do.
The children wore a big white shirt and got to pick the color they wanted, they dipped their hands in the colored powder and colored their shirt and their friends´shirts. We then all danced to some Bollywood music.

Tulips

The tulips together with the lilies last week got to enjoy and celebrate the Holi Festival which is a long running Indian tradition. The kids got to bring a plain white T-shirt which they wore on top of their jackets and once outside they got to dip their hands in a bucket of water and then followed by dipping their hands in another bucket with the color of their choice. They imprinted their handprints with the powdered color on their T-shirt’s or if they wanted on their classmate T-shirt’s as well!

Tulips

Today the Tulips had an amazing day out to the forest! Most of the Tulips got on the boogie woogies and a few chose to walk it all the way there and back. When we got to the forest, the kids got to explore the leaves, branches, sticks etc. They also got to bring back a few nature-like souvenirs. The picture below shows two of lovely Tulips on the outing bonding in the forest (love is in the air❤️)
