Sunflowers

SOLAR SYSTEM

The Sunflowers spent lots of time exploring the Solar System
and it’s planets, starting from the outer edge, where Kupier Belt is.
We explored not only planets colours, but also discussed them
one by one during IPC circle times. We’ve seen internal structure,
counted how many moons each has got, discussed their sizes and
compared densities… it’s been a very long journey! We painted
them one at the time over this year, adding personal touches to
them - do they reflect light? Maybe we can use glitter! How do
we paint it so it looks like it’s very windy? What colours
can we mix to get this colour? It’s been a lot of fun and learning,
slowly flying towards the sun.

LPFÖ:
• develop their ability to distinguish, explore, document, put questions about and talk about science

• develop their understanding of science and relationships to nature, as well as simple chemical processes
and physical phenomena
