Sunflowers

Thursday: Self portraits and Jolly Phonics Review

The sunflowers were very excited to do self portraits as part of our “now and then”  project for our upcoming art exhibition. On paper plates they drew their eyes, nose and mouth then using paints, felt, yarn and beads for the eyes. We asked our children to look in the mirror and draw and paint what they see. We have just begun this project and will continue to add more details! The Sunflowers also reviewed  the “g” sound and jolly phonics songs as well as activities including all the letters we’ve learned thus far.

We have been working on the following Lpfö goals:

“develop their creative abilities and the ability to convey impressions.” “develop their use of spoken language, vocabulary and concepts, as well as the ability to play with words…”
